Welcome to the Thinking Anew website.  How significant that our first communication should take place on the anniversary of 911. Eleven years ago, I was two blocks away from the World Trade Center the morning of the attack. I count myself fortunate to have survived that day, and I still feel a great sadness for friends and NYPD police officers  that we lost that day, in addition to all the souls who lost their lives in the attack. It is significant and germane to our website, because I wrote in my book that day , and many days and weeks afterwards to keep my sanity. I wrote about my desire to understand, and try and make some sense out of the madness that was taking place in lower Manhattan. The writing saved my sanity, provided perspective and motivation to push through the fear and sadness, and truly allowed me to survive the life changing trauma of that terrible day. The writing allowed me to reframe thoughts from fear to faith. It saved my life…
